The EPA has set certification guidelines for HVAC Technicians that require technicians to be knowledgable and to have the proper skills to safely and efficiently handle Class 1 and Class 2 Substances. The is review class will cover all aspects of these rules and regulations, which will enable the technician to easily pass the EPA Section 608 Core and Type II Tests for certification.

The review class is 4-5 hours long and technicians are allowed 2 hours to take the test.

Tuition for each class includes the review class, study guide, and the proctored certification test.

According to a survey by Decision Analyst, 90% of consumers prefer a certified HVAC technician over a non-certified technician to service their heating and cooling systems. It's no surprise that consumers want the job done right the first time. Call-backs are not the only expensive to contractors but also inconvenient to the homeowner, and can undermine the relationships with your customers you have worked so hard to establish. There is no need to let an inexperienced, non-certified technician put your business at risk.

NATE Certification is acquired by passing a series of knowledge based tests, and we now offer a complete review of the Core and Heat Pump tests.

This is a full day of training that covers the Core section in the morning and the Heat Pump sectionthat same afternoon. The certification tests are offered on the second day, hopefully while the information is still fresh on the minds of the technician.

Tuition for each class includes study materials. Other specialty test can be administered at the request of the technician.

Epting Distributors is proud to offer mobile hands-on training on specially prepared demonstration units. Not just prototypes or mockups, these are real working unita that can be powered up and used to demonstrate the real-life functioning of each piece of equipment.

During each class, technicians will receive a blend fo theoretical and practical instruction as our TSAs use working equipment to demonstrate the concepts being taught.

Through hands-on training, technicians will get a better grasp of the workings of each unit, and will be able to practice servicing them just as they would in a residential installation. The result? Your technicians will be better prepared to work on these units safely and efficiently.

Because our training units are mobile, these classes can take place indoors or out, just about anywhere that is convenient to you–such as your local Epting Distributors branch, or even your own building or parking lot.

Hands-on Training is offered on the following equipment:

  • Tempstar Inverter
  • Gas Furnace
  • Mitsubishi Mini Split

Topics for the hands-on training classes include:

  • System Design
  • Zoning
  • Installation
  • Startup
