Low Voltage & Control Wiring

Deadline to enroll for this class is Tuesday, November 11th

This course covers all aspects of low voltage control wiring for conventional Gas Furnaces, Heat Pumps and Air-Conditioning Systems. Students will learn about the various components found in the low-voltage system and practical procedures to correctly connect the wiring to the equipment.

Topics include:

• New installations and system replacements/change outs
• Conventional 24v systems
• Basic communicating system wiring
• Thermostat configuration and installer programming
• Understanding low-voltage wiring configurations to include correct wiring of condensate safety switches

Students will also learn about using manufacturer’s literature and wiring diagrams to assist in wiring the system correctly for different system configurations.
