454b Half Day Transition Course

This R454b 1/2 day class will focus on teaching the foundational knowledge that must be understood to SAFELY and correctly install and service these new systems in residential and light commercial applications.

Breakfast will be served.

Students will learn about the current industry transition to using these new A2L (mildly flammable) refrigerants, including their properties and characteristics, safe handling techniques, new tools and equipment requirements, installation and code compliance, as well as service and repair procedures. Emphasis will be placed on systems/equipment and the newly required components, along with how to install, wire and service these in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. This class also includes refrigerant charging/adjustments and basic refrigerant diagnostic scenarios for enhanced technician confidence in the field.
