454b Full Day Transition Course

Deadline to enroll for this class is Tuesday, January 14th

This R454b class will focus on teaching the foundational knowledge that must be understood to SAFELY and correctly install and service these new systems in residential and light commercial applications.

Students will learn about the current industry transition to using these new A2L (mildly flammable) refrigerants, including their properties and characteristics, safe handling techniques, new tools and equipment requirement, installation, and code compliance, as well as service and repair procedures. Emphasis will be placed on systems/equipment and the newly required components, along with how to install, wire and service these in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. This class also includes refrigerant charging/adjustments and basic refrigerant diagnostic scenarios for enhanced technician confidence in the field.

• Safety manual will be provided to all students.
• Proctored Certification Exam will be administered at completion of the course.
• Laptop or Tablet required to take on-line exam.
